Mackinac Island

It has been few years since our last trip to Mackinac Island in Michigan, So My husband and I thought it was time to visit it again. I am so happy we did. There has been so many changes to the buildings and the nature while the culture of this island stays the same. As a matter of fact, once you step out of the ferry, you will feel like you traveled back in time to the 19th century :). To be able to be practical fashion, I decided to put on my dress and sneakers and visit this magnificent Island.

Best dress to wear for a trip or staycation

If you know me. You know I love to wear dresses everywhere I go especially while travelling such as in here and here. I found them easy to style and comfortable to wear almost all day. Moreover, They are chic enough in case we want to get in a fancy restaurant. Thus, I got this dress from Macy’s to wear it there. Of course, Macy’s ran out of it so quickly. Luckily, It is on Amazon for a reasonable price in here. The dress is a Light-wash blue in a very soft linen and has slip in underneath. Besides, It has a beautiful lace from the chest area. I think it flatters the whole style and makes it more special. This dress is not a summer dress nor gown. It is more of a formal summer dress which is perfect for Mackinac Island and Grand Hotel .

Accessory

As for the shoes, I decided to keep it simple, cute and comfy with G by Guess sneakers. The color of these sneakers are also washed out blue denim with gray. I love this style of shoes because not only they go perfectly with any short dress but they also were comfortable enough to be worn all day.

For my hair, I kept it simple with half normal updo by pinning my crown and leaving strand of hair down from the front.

I added simple jewelry since I knew I will hike and stay all day out in the sun. Finally, I had to get a backpack with me to pack all my essentials including water.

Turn heads with your dress. I love this dress so much that I am considering it the best dress to wear for a trip or staycation.
