Then I twisted and tucked it behind my neck and secured with bobby pins. Since I have short layers from the front, I was able to fake the faux bob hairstyle once again.

Cute ways to style short hair

You have short hair. Now what!. Rest assure that these inspired easy-to-manage hairstyles below are exactly what you need to perk up your look.

Accessories/ Jewelry for short hair

While jewelry adds to the outfit, It also completes your hairstyles. Whether you wake up with undefined hair look or you have a greasy second hair, Adding the right kind of super stylish hair jewelry amp up your hair look. For example, Think dazzling hairpins, headband or even a colorful hair clip.

Bobby pins for everyday hairstyle

Bobby pins are in trend this year. Therefore, It is a great idea to invest in a few fun bobby pins to accessorize your hair. In order for your pins to show, go with a contrasting color to your hair color. For instance, I chose rose pink and gold bobby pin to have a nice contrasting effect on my hair. I got these hairpins from Amazon and they are super cute and do not move at all during the day.

How to: use bobby pins with short hair
  • Brush your hair and divide it evenly on the front.
  • Pull your bangs down in a way it covers your ears.
  • Then place a bobby pin above your ear. Put around 4-5 bobby pins half an inch apart.
  • In another look, I placed a bobby pin above my ear and placed the other two crossing the first bobby pin to create a sun shape.
  • Also, you can crisscross your bobby pin to give a different shape to your bobby pins.
  • The most important thing is to have fun amping up your look. In other words, get creative.

Headband from day to night out

Headband comes in all styles and shapes. Thus, I suggest investing in a few headbands to jazz up your hairstyle regardless of your hair length. Firstly, It will draw the attention to your stunning headband and away from your greasy hair. Second, You can match to your outfit or occassion. I am in love with these floral lace headbands or even dazzling headband for special events or just hanging out with friends. All I did to achieve this easy look is to place the headband on my faux bob hairstyle.

Pulled-back braids – cute ways to style short hair

Yes, You have short hair but that does not mean you cannot braid it. These simple pulled-back braids with bobby pin will revamp your haircut.

How to: pull back braids

Take a strand of hair from your band and braid it with three-strand braid. Then take another strand from the other side of your head and do the same thing. Finally, pull them back and secure with decorative or even regular bobby pins.

half bun with a scarf

Half bun for short hair!. Ohh yeah!. As long as you can pull your hair back and put in a ponytail, You will be able to create a looped or half bun. No matter what choice you go with, take your scarf and tie it around it to add elegance and style to your hair. In fact, This hairstyle was a little struggle for me since I have to take some of my long hair out and all I did is secure my half up with a tie. Once I reached the last loop, I stoped. So, I did not pull all my hair out. Then, I left it looped and spice it up with by tying a scarf around it.

At last, It is possible to find cute ways to style short hair without using any heat tools or break your bank account. I hope today I inspired you to go behind your mirror and try different looks.

So many cute ideas! I was just getting exasperated with my hair this morning. It’s at that awkward growing out stage and *shudder* I wanted to grab the scissors. I think I’ll try your suggestions first.
