Happy Tuesday everyone!. As you might know from my beauty and wardrobe essentials to pack for a weekend getaway in here and here, I went to Chicago on a road trip this MDW. Surprisingly, The weather were so nice for May (WHEEEE) and I were able to wear what I packed. Today, I am showing you how I styled my Jacquard Dress for more casual chic to wear all day in Chicago.

In my previous road trips to Chicago, I checked most sightseeing out of my list such as Navy pier, Millennium Park ( cloud gate), Willis tower ( sears tower), Shedd Aquarium, and china town. Besides, This website has great guideline of things to do in Chicago. Nevertheless, My husband and I wanted to discover Chicago as locals not tourists. Thus, we decided to walk till we encountered Riverwalk. Chicago Riverwalk is quite new with tons of activities to do. Of course, This casual chic dress below was a fit for this walk.

I chose jacquard dress from Sam Edelman . It is designed with back cutout at the waist and has tribal print boarder around. Though it is easy to dress it up with heels and accessories, dressing it down needs little tweaking in look. I wore Joie comfy ballet shoes from DSW in here (I removed the accented tie for more comfort). Also,They are plush light pink color and go well with my accessories as well my hot pink lipstick.

I amped it up with my favorite accessories:

Additionally, I paired my outfit with my Jessica Simpson clutch that I styled in here ( basically a chic clutch to have my ID and phone in it ).

As for my hair, I love the ponytail hairstyle I mentioned in here . So, I put it up in a ponytail. First, I wanted to show the dress detail on the back while looking casual chic. Second, It was too hot to wear it down.

I am so happy with how the outfit turned out. I were able to walk more than 5 miles in these shoes and enjoy dinner with my husband while looking casual chic.

let me know in the comment below what’s your casual chic go-to outfit is? Would you go for a dress in your weekend getaway?
