Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a happy first day of summer!. Summer means a splash of water almost every day especially if you live near the beach or swimming pool. Funny enough, we tend to load our bodies with SPF creams and take care of our skin and look but we forget to pay attention to our hair. Sea salt, chlorinated pool water, overexposure to harmful sun rays, and sweat can and will damage hair during summer time. Unfortunately, It will strip hair of its natural, and protective oils. Eventually, our hair will be limped with no life. So, it’s time to learn how to take care of your hair from salt, chlorinated water, sun, and humidity. The result is strong beautiful hair-castor and coconut oil hair mask.
Castor-coconut oil hair mask for strong beautiful hair-how to use it
Castor oil is loaded and I repeat loaded with omega 6 and 9 fatty acids, vitamin E and minerals. These ingredients are good to penetrate and regrow hair and prevent hair loss. Besides, It strengthens hair cuticles and protects it through summer. Meanwhile, coconut oil will intensely moisturize and condition your hair to stimulate faster growth, detangle, defeat dandruff and more.
All you need is:
2-4 TBS castor oil. I got mine from SKY organics on Amazon in here.
2-3 TBS melted coconut oil ( virgin and unrefined and better if it is organic) I got mine from Home Goods. I paid around $6 for the bottle.
shower cap (optional).
To begin with, mix castor oil with melted coconut oil in a bowl and apply directly to the scalp. Secondly, spread the mixture evenly on your hair and do not forget to apply it to the ends ( I used my hand. It is easier to apply and faster). Finally, secure it with a tie if you have long hair and cover it with a shower cap.
You will need to wait half an hour to 6 hours ( depending on your patience 🙂 )before showering your hair with normal shampoo and conditioner. I blow dry my hair without styling it. I use this hair mask each 3-5 days in the summer time and alternatively with my Amla hair mask.
This is my way to protect my hair during summer time. What’s yours?. Leave me a comment or better follow me on Instagram @chez.rama to chat with me. See you there.
Have a fabulous weekend! Do not forget your hair is your crown. better protect it now.
